PA House Bill 1077

Pennsylvania House Bill 1077 would require an ultrasound be offered to all expectant moms considering an abortion. It has 112 co-sponsors but can't get a vote. Call you lawmaker and encourage leaders to bring it up for a vote in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

We Endorse Conservatives With Guts

The York County Chapter of ACTION of PA (Americans for Christian Traditions In Our Nation) is pleased to endorse three outstanding conservative candidates running for state office. With its bold support of conservative candidates, ACTION of PA is taking the lead in bringing candidates to you who are best positioned to advance conservative Christian principles in government.

Andy Shaw is challenging incumbent Republican Pat Vance in the 31st Senatorial District of Cumberland and York Counties. He is her first primary opponent in nearly two decades. The Carlisle attorney announced his candidacy based on what he called the incumbent's "gradual but definite break up with the commonsense, conservative majority in this district." Unlike Mrs. Vance, Shaw supports a state and federal marriage amendment, full legal protection for unborn children, expanded school choice and has signaled strong opposition to new taxes, unaccountable spending and debt. As State Senator, he will advance the principles of a citizen legislature and has personally pledged to decline any public pension. Andy is a graduate of Cedarville University and Dickinson School of Law. He and his wife Andrea are raising two young daughters and have built their life and community around their local church. Find more about Andy at www.JoinAndy.org.

Ernie Merisotis is running for PA State Representative in the 93rd district against Ron Miller. As an Army Reserve Officer and owner of small trucking company, Ernie embraces those conservative Christian values that made America a great nation. Ernie is a lifelong NRA member and Ernie believes in the sanctity of human life. He supports requiring gambling establishment’s win/loss records to its patrons (HB 587). Ernie attended the Christian School of York and has a degree in Criminal Justice from Shippensburg University. He believes that our legislature needs to eliminate the property tax, cut wasteful spending, and reduce the size of government. Ernie believes the government pension system must be reformed and has pledged to forfeit a pension if elected. He believes that Pennsylvania and all states should be right to work states. Support Ernie and his conservative Christian principles and find more at his website www.ElectErnieMerisotis.com.

A lifelong resident of Red Lion, Kelly Henshaw, is running for PA State Representative in the 94th District against Stan Saylor. Kelly is the owner of Austin Graphics and he and his wife Kathleen are the grandparents of two children. Unlike his opponent, he is committed to co-sponsoring the Marriage Protection Amendment. To protect your home from local governments, Kelly believes that the property tax should be eliminated and replaced by a sales tax. He believes that the prevailing wage law adds expense to public projects and must be eliminated or greatly modified. Running against a 19 year incumbent, Kelly believes that term limits should restrict a representative to 5 terms or ten years. Kelly is currently president of the Red Lion Borough Council. Kelly is a sexton at the Bethany United Methodist Church in Red Lion. Support Kelly and find more about him by visiting his website at www.henshawforyork94.com.
